    Foundation and superstructure design for a new 7-story building. Design of the foundation systems presented some challenges due to proximity of adjacent buildings.

    The superstructure is constructed with cast-in-place concrete slabs supported by beams and columns. Cast-in-place concrete shear walls provide lateral stability for the building.

    Foundation and superstructure design for a new 7-story building. Foundations are cast-in-place concrete strip footings supporting concrete foundation walls.

    The superstructure is constructed with CMU load-bearing walls supporting precast concrete floor planks. CMU shear walls provide lateral stability for the building.

  • 4511 3rd Avenue, Bronx

    foundation and superstructure design for a new 7-story and a 12-story building connected by a 3-story podium. The podium is constructed with concrete slabs, steel beams and columns. The upper floors are constructed with CMU load-bearing walls supporting precast concrete floor planks.

    The 7-story building is constructed with CMU load-bearing walls supporting precast concrete floor planks. Steel transfer girders were used at the first-floor ceiling to create larger community and retails spaces.

2581 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn

Foundation and superstructure design for a new 2-story building. Renovation and structural upgrades of the existing 3-story building. Structure consists of concrete slabs and metal decking supported by steel beams and columns. Steel diagonal bracing provides the lateral stability.

    Foundation and superstructure design for a new 7-story building. Foundation consists of a reinforced concrete mat. The superstructure is constructed with cast-in-place concrete slabs supported by beams and columns. Cast-in-place concrete shear walls provide lateral stability for the building.

  • Mary McDowell Friends School, Brooklyn

    Horizontal extension of the existing 5-story building. Design of a new 18-feet high basketball court excavated in the rear yard of the property. The new 5-story extension was designed using steel beams and columns.

  • Hotel Duncan - 1151 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT

    Extensive renovation of the existing 6-story unreinforced brick masonry structure. The structural work included installation of a new elevator, new steel beams were used to create larger openings at the first-floor level.

Foundation and superstructure design for a new 12-story building. Foundations are cast-in-place concrete piers supported by bedrock.  The superstructure is constructed with CMU load-bearing walls supporting precast concrete floor planks. Steel transfer girders and columns were used on the first floor to create larger community and common areas.

    Extensive renovation of an existing 4-story unreinforced brick masonry structure. The structural work included temporary shoring, removal of numerous brick load bearing walls and installation of steel beams and columns to create larger open spaces.

    Reinforcement of existing roof structure and dunnage to accommodate a new 5,000-gallon water tank.

    Gut renovation of a historic townhouse constructed in the early 1900’s. Structural work included stair reconfiguration, reinforcement of wood floor joists, repair of existing brick masonry walls.

    Gut renovation and extension of a historic townhouse constructed in the early 1900’s. Structural work included stair reconfiguration, replacement of floor framing, removal of floor areas to create double floor spaces. Steel moment frames and CMU walls were needed at the rear extension of the house.

    Numerous renovation projects including new outdoor terrace, installation of elevators, installation of convenience stairs to allow lease on multiple floors by one tenant, lobby renovation, repairs of structural elements.
